We have been called relentless without being obstinate. We are creative and imaginative without ever losing sight of our moral principles. This is our creed.

ANTICIPATE RISK. You need an open and creative mind to anticipate risk. You then need specific experience and finesse to address those risks. Your business could be severely affected if someone isn't looking out for you...and only you. What happens if you need to expand? ... to terminate your lease? ...if your building ends up in foreclosure? ...if your landlord slams you with escalations? ...if the contractor delays your occupancy? Anticipating risk factors and negotiating them away is what TRA is expert about and this ensures the best possible lease terms for you.

COMPETENCE & COMPASSION. Our experience gives us a unique foundation upon which to build the best leasing terms for you. That is the goal, right? We will save you time and money. It is our compassion that enables us to see through our client's eyes, to understand their fears, and to envision their hopes. Our competence manages those fears and makes those hopes real. Being right is not sufficient; being effective is.

Our People

Scott E. Fabean, President & CEO

The Pittsburgh Business Times attributes TRA's success to Scott's diversity of experience. Before starting TRA in 1998, Scott spent 5 years as the Leasing Manager for a prominent commercial real estate firm in Pittsburgh. His duties encompassed representing landlords and tenants on both sides of the real estate transaction as well as analyzing lease, purchase, and build-to-suit scenarios for the firm. Having worked in commercial real estate and investment banking with Smith Barney (New York), Merrill Lynch (Pittsburgh), and Oppenheimer & Co. (Los Angeles) as well as pursuing theological studies on a master level, Scott values his competence and compassion in business and personal relationships.

A graduate of Columbia University, Scott majored in Economics/Philosophy and was on both the varsity golf and football teams. He is Vice-President of Pittsburgh Interfaith Impact Network (PIIN); a Catechist for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh; and a member of: the Justice & Peace Committee for St. Thomas More Parish, Pittsburgh Labor & Religion Coalition, Alumni Committee for Columbia University Admissions, various chambers of commerce and real estate related organizations, the Thomas Merton Center, and the Association of Pittsburgh Priests.  Scott resides in Mount Lebanon, PA with his wife Tereleigh and their four children.

Testimonial

"...He negotiated for us a below market purchase of an office complex that just after closing gave us an asset that was already worth far more than our purchase price. Unlike other service consultants, the value he adds is easily substantiated...I enthusiastically recommend Scott E. Fabean and TRA and will use them again."
